Another month and another new hive! I found a local beekeeper who was selling nucs (established hives). I got the call while I was on vacation with the family and set-up the pick up for mid-April. The drive to Rural Retreat was nice and meeting with the keeper is always fun. I love his stories and random tips from years of experience.
I also went to a bee camp hosted by Siller Pollinator Company . It was in beautiful Crozet, Virginia and was a small group of new and experienced beekeepers. It was nice to be with folks and be reminded of information and do a hive dive in the apiary on-site.
