Working with honey and beeswax has a way of slowing things down and reconnecting to the rhythm of the hive. I’m sharing three simple, hive‑inspired projects I love making at home: honey soap, honey lotion bars, and honey lip balm. They’re small, everyday comforts that carry a little bit of the apiary into the rest of life.

For the holidays, I decided to try my hand at using our wax and honey in self-care items.
I will be making small batches for purchase. BEE on the lookout!
Honey has natural antibacterial properties, it attracts and retains moisture,
and can calm inflammation and support healing.
Beeswax creates a moisture-locking barrier which is great for the skin during windy and cold conditions. It is great for hands, elbows, and heels. It is also hypoallergenic and non-toxic.
The lotion bars are so nourishing and have the sweet smell of the hive.
The soap has a small bit of honey and oat flour which helps with dryness and irritation.
The lip balm is smooth and creates a barrier against winter weather.
Product Testimonials:
-Angie: Just used my honey lotion bar for my feet that are now wrapped in fuzzy socks!!
-Anonymous: I’ve never found anything that actually soothed [my skin flare-ups] and most lotions burn. However, your little product soothed my inflammation! And I swear it’s helped to heal up broken skin. I bet this bar would really help eczema.
-Anonymous: My 15-year-old daughter struggles with eczema. She felt relief after using the lotion bar one time. The itching and dry skin were so much better!
